Carzone Toys orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment is confirmed, and delivery is typically 3–10 business days after the order ships, depending on your location and the item’s size. Smaller items travel by standard parcel carrier. Large ride-ons, go-karts and e-bikes ship by freight carrier. Freight delivery is usually curbside, and the carrier contacts you to schedule it. Shipping is free within the United States. In Georgia you can also skip shipping with free in-store pickup in Douglasville, Dawsonville or Stonecrest, or free local delivery across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
Here’s what happens at each stage, and what to do so your child’s first drive goes smoothly.
From order to first drive at a glance
| Stage | What happens | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Processing | Typically 1–3 business days after payment is confirmed. It may take slightly longer in busy periods. | Double-check your shipping address. It may not be possible to change it once the order ships. |
| Shipped | You receive tracking details by email. | Watch for the carrier’s call or message if your order ships freight. |
| In transit | Typically 3–10 business days, depending on location and item size. These are estimates, not guarantees. | Plan who will be home and how you’ll move the box. |
| Delivery | Freight is usually curbside, at an appointment set with the carrier. | Inspect the package, and photograph and note any damage before signing. |
| After delivery | Damage reports go to support@carzonetoys.com within 48 hours. | Unbox, check the parts, assemble, then charge the battery. |
Orders aren’t shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays, so count business days only when estimating.
Parcel or freight: which will you get?
It depends on the size of the item. Smaller products go by standard parcel carrier and are usually dropped at your door like any other package. Large ride-on vehicles, go-karts, e-bikes and other oversized products go by freight. If you’re ordering a full-size ride-on car, jeep or go-kart, plan for freight.
Freight works differently:
- Appointment: the carrier contacts you to schedule delivery, and freight deliveries may require an appointment. Answer calls from unknown numbers around your expected delivery window.
- Curbside: delivery is usually to the curb, not inside your home. You’re responsible for moving the item from the curb into your home or garage.
- Someone must be there: an adult needs to be available to receive and inspect the shipment.
Plan for the size and weight of the box
Ride-on boxes are bulky, and the bigger models are heavy. As examples from our listings, the 48V Can-Am ride-on jeep has a listed build weight of 114.8 lbs. The 12V Mercedes Unimog lists a 75 lb frame, and the 24V Drifting Gokart ships in a 47 × 25 × 14 inch package. Your model’s listing is the place to check its size and weight. Before delivery day:
- have two adults available for anything large, plus a hand truck or dolly if you have one
- clear a route from the curb to the garage or room where you’ll assemble it
- check the box will fit through gates and doorways on that route
- keep the box upright and flat while moving it, and avoid dragging it, which can tear the box and scratch the body inside
Inspect before you sign
This is the step that protects you if something went wrong in transit. While the driver is still there:
- Walk around the box and look for crushed corners, punctures, tears or signs it has been wet.
- If anything looks damaged, write it on the delivery receipt. Something like “box crushed at corner” is enough.
- Take photos of the damage before you sign.
- Report any damage to support@carzonetoys.com within 48 hours, with your order number and the photos.
A box can look fine but hide damage inside, so also inspect the vehicle as you unpack it. Report anything you find within the same 48-hour window.
Unboxing
- Open it where you’ll assemble it. A garage floor or a cleared room with a blanket or the flattened box underneath protects the body from scratches.
- Cut carefully. Slit tape with a shallow blade, so you don’t score the bodywork just under the cardboard.
- Count the parts first. Lay everything out and check it against the parts list in the manual before you start building. Missing pieces are easier to sort out before you’re halfway through.
- Keep the packaging for now. Hold on to the box and inserts until the car is assembled and working, in case you need to report a problem.
- Keep small parts away from little ones. Screws, caps and plastic bags aren’t toys.
Our step-by-step guide on how to assemble a kids’ ride-on car covers the tools you’ll need, wheel and seat fitting, connecting the battery and pairing the remote.
The first charge
Don’t plan a first drive the minute the car is built. Give the battery a full first charge, as the manual directs, before the first ride. Ride-on batteries often arrive with too little charge to drive well, and a full first charge gets the battery off to a healthy start. Our ride-on battery and charging guide covers typical charge times and the habits that make a battery last. If the battery is charged and the car still won’t move, our ride-on car troubleshooting guide walks through the usual causes.
Before the first drive, run through a quick check: wheels secure, seat and belt fastened, steering turning the front wheels, and remote stop working. Our ride-on safety checklist covers where to ride.
